Our sustainable ethos is simple: to improve, rather than degrade our little corner of the planet. We actively encourage wildlife, which in turn benefits us. Rather than use pesticides we let nature take its course. The flowers, shrubs and trees we plant, attract the insects and birds that keep pests at bay.  The frogs, toads and newts spawn in the pond each year and feast on the slugs which might otherwise be eating our flowers! We let the worms do the work in our ‘no dig’ beds and we utilise our natural spring water for irrigation.  

Buying locally grown flowers is not only better for the environment, but it allows for a much greater diversity of flowers and foliage, which, picked fresh that very morning, maintain their beauty and intoxicating fragrance.

Our packaging is plastic-free, including our aqua-pack wrapping which is plant-based and fully compostable. If you buy jam jar posies from us, we are always grateful to receive them back at the stand to reuse.
